The Confession Stone, a song cycle by Canadian Composer Robert Fleming, was written in 1966 and sets to music poems of the African-American playwright and teacher Owen Dobson. The Confession Stone is a series of poems written from the perspective of Mary, the mother of Jesus, setting forth her emotions and reflections on the events of the fateful week in Jerusalem that culminated in the crucifixion of her son.
